Sparkle, Baby, Sparkle!

You get furious when I tease that I'm going to shout that at a band concert or a soccer game or Invention Convention. It annoys you that I would dream of calling attention to you.

But here's the thing: I've had 10 years (today!) to get to know you. And you are worth calling attention to.

You have, since your earliest days had a very clear sense of who you are, and I see it, too. Here are the things I know about you:

You are the kind of person who gets the joke, sees the connection, just a second before other people do.

You are the kind of person who pays attention to what other people need, and you try to help them.

You are the kind of person who works hard, even when the task takes a long time.

You are the kind of person who can't help singing silly songs once you've heard them.

You are the kind of person who focuses so intently on what you're doing that you almost lose yourself in your task.

You are the kind of person who loves your friends and family loyally.

You are so bright, you can't help but sparkle. So do it. Sparkle!
